Gideon Handheld Pressurized Steam Cleaner and Sanitizer / Powerful Multi-purpose Steamer, Removes Grease, Stains, Mold, etc. and Disinfects / Removes Wrinkles from Garments [UPGRADED VERSION]

A steam cleaner is a great cleaning tool for anyone. It actually makes cleaning fun because it makes cleaning so much faster and easier. With that being said, this one does have a lot of issues and does not meet my expectations. I only got to use this 3 times within 1 day.

Let's start off with what is included. This came with an assortment of attachments:

Funnel

Always put the water in first before plugging it in. A funnel was included so you can easily add the water without making a mess. The tank capacity is 12 ounces. The lid is a lot easier to screw on then the one steam cleaner I have been using so that's a plus.

It takes about 8 to 10 minutes to heat up.

My thumb hurts after using this as you have to push up on the slider and hold it in place as you push down on the lever. I suppose this is a safety feature.

The cord is just not long enough at 9 foot. I used to own one of these (of a different brand) and the cord was extremely long and I never had to unplug and plug into another location while using it. With this one I will need to get an extension cord to use it as some areas I don't have an outlet that it will reach to.

The listing says "Emits steam continuously for 20 minutes", however I am only getting about 4-5 minutes use out of it before having to unplug, let it cool down, add more water, and then start again. This is very irritating as it adds time to getting my cleaning done.

Be very careful if using the extension piece as there is no insulation basically on it along the entire center area. It gets EXTREMELY HOT if you touch it while in use. I don't think this should be normal in something like this. My last steamer's extension did not get like that and neither should this one.

While using this, a large blast of water spewed out against my bathtub wall and came backwards and burnt me! My skin is sore and consider myself lucky because it could've been much worse. I didn't understand how this happened. After tending to my skin with cold water and aloe plant I noticed a small gold colored piece in my bathtub. I picked it up and realized it had blasted out of the tip of the cleaner!!! That was the cause of the water to spew out in a blast like it did. The cleaner does not work without that tip being in place and now is completely useless to me. That piece is the main attachment. I could use the extension attachment but choose not to because that gets to hot to handle.

I also realized the inner gasket/seal is coming out. I have taken pictures of both the gasket issue and of the gold metal tip that has come out.

I am going to contact the seller and ask for a replacement and will update this if they make good on it or not.
