These are made of aluminum and are the same style that I learned with as a kid. These have the rounded end on the top. It seems this type is a lot harder to find now days. I still have my hooks from when I was a kid but never owned a complete set like this so I'm thrilled! I think this style is a lot easier to hold and use versus the ergonomic ones with foam on the handles.
There's only one thing that I wasn't happy about and that is how they are not marked by letters, but instead by numbers. I'm used to seeing letters on them to know the sizing but I will adapt just fine so that is not a big deal.
The plastic case keeps them organized for storage.
I think the price of $7.99 is a great deal.
